Uploading or Creating a Domestic Relations Order on This Site
What You Need to Do
A domestic relations order must be submitted to and qualified by the Qualified Order Center to become a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO). This site will help you quickly create an order that will satisfy the employer's QDRO requirements if the information you provide is accurate.
Note: Order creation using this site is unavailable at this time. Follow these steps to create an order using other options. You may also want to have your attorney draft an order for you.
Follow These Steps to Upload Your Order
If you have already drafted a Domestic Relations Order and would like to upload it online, begin by following the step by step process outlined on this site to upload your order.
What the Qualified Order Center Will Do
After the order is received, the Qualified Order Center will:
- Restrict the participant's benefit activity.
- Review the order to ensure that it meets all the qualification requirements.
- Notify all interested people in writing in 30 days of receiving the order whether or not it meets all qualification requirements.
- Send all interested people in the order copies of the submitted order.
- If the order is qualified, direct the appropriate retirement plan record keeper to establish separate benefits for the alternate payee.
Did You Know?
It takes 30 days from the time a domestic relations order is received for the Qualified Order Center to review it.
You'll receive written notification by postal mail after the 30-day review is completed.
